The mission of the Ankeny School Library Media Program is to enable all students to be independent learners who are skilled users of information, and who appreciate literature and other creative expressions.

  • Over 2000 Fiction Books and Audiobooks (average age 1989)
  • Over 6000 Nonfiction/Reference items (average age 1998)
  • 10 Electronic Subscription Databases (encyclopedia, periodicals, etc.)       

Volunteer Opportunities

  • The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Northview February 18-22.  Contact Mrs. Haase if you are interested in helping out with this event!  Parents and students are encouraged to help out!!

Facilities
  • The Northview Media Center is located at the northwest corner of the school.  In addition to books, it includes an island of 9 computers that may be used for Internet research, word processing and also search stations.  There is also a computer lab that teachers may reserve to bring their students down to do research or other various projects.
