Born and raised in Escanaba, MI. in the
upper peninsula of Michigan, I attained a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education with a major in
History and a minor in Physical Education from Central Michigan University. I then furthered my education and attained
a Master of Science degree in library media education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I taught social
studies and physical education in Michigan and Minnesota. This is my third year as a teacher librarian in
the state of Iowa and my first year at Northview. When not at work, I enjoy relaxing with my family, watching
TV, riding our Harley Davidson Fatboy, and traveling. I reside in Ankeny with my husband John and
our son Andrew.
